Weld Plate Clamps Manufacturers in India

Sachiya Steel International is a leading weld plate clamp manufacturer in India, supplying DIN 3015-based weld plate clamp assemblies for oil & gas, marine, pharmaceutical, power generation, chemical processing, shipbuilding, hydraulic, and industrial applications. Since 2005, the company has supplied engineering contractors, EPC companies, shipbuilders, and OEM fabricators with clamps manufactured in carbon steel, SS 304, SS 316/316L, Duplex 2205, and Hastelloy C-276. ISO 9001:2015 (TUV) certified and MSME registered.

What Are Weld Plate Clamps?

A weld plate clamp is a tube and pipe support assembly consisting of a steel base plate permanently welded to a structural member, vessel shell, bulkhead, or support frame. The clamp body is then bolted to the weld plate. Unlike rail-mounted or bolt-through systems, this design does not require through-drilling, anchor bolts, or mounting rails. The welded connection provides permanent support where vibration, pressure surges, and thermal cycling are concerns.

Weld plate clamps are widely used for ship pipe supports, offshore structures, refinery pipe racks, structural steelwork, and hydraulic systems. They are available in single, twin, elongated, group and back-to-back configurations. Custom designs and pre-welded brackets are also available.

Types of Weld Plate Clamps

The range includes DIN 3015 Part 1 Light Series and Part 2 Heavy Series clamps. Single tube clamps provide individual pipe support, while twin and group configurations allow multiple parallel tubes to share a common weld plate. Rubber-lined versions with NBR, EPDM, or neoprene liners help absorb vibration and shock. Stainless steel, duplex, and high-temperature versions are available for demanding environments. Custom assemblies can follow customer drawings and structural specifications.

Technical Specifications

The standard size range covers tube outside diameters from 6 mm to 219 mm, with custom sizes available on request. Light Series clamps are rated up to 100 bar, while Heavy Series clamps can reach up to 400 bar for suitable small outside diameters, with ratings reduced at larger sizes. Weld plate materials include ASTM A36 and A283 carbon steel, SS 304, SS 316/316L, Duplex 2205, Super Duplex 2507 and Hastelloy C-276.

Liners include NBR, EPDM, neoprene, FKM, PTFE, polyamide, polypropylene, and high-temperature ceramic or graphite. Finishes include zinc plating, hot-dip galvanizing, phosphating, and electropolishing for stainless steel. Documentation can include EN 10204 3.1/3.2 certificates, PMI, CE, PED, NACE and classification documents.

Weld Plate Configurations

Single weld plates are suitable for individual tubes and standard structural supports. Twin plates provide a larger fixing footprint for high-load pipe runs. Elongated plates distribute load over wider structural areas. Group plates allow two or four tubes to be mounted on one structural support, for efficient space utilization. Back-to-back configurations support tubes on opposing sides.

Material Selection

Material selection should consider the clamp body, weld plate, hardware, and structural substrate as one system. SS 304 provides good general corrosion resistance for industrial and HVAC environments. SS 316 and 316L offer improved chloride resistance and are suitable for marine, seawater, pharmaceutical, and chemical applications. Carbon steel is commonly selected for dry structural environments when a suitable coating is provided. Duplex 2205 provides higher resistance to chloride pitting and is suited to seawater, subsea, and high-pressure environments. Hastelloy C-276 is intended for highly aggressive chemical services.

Applications

Weld plate clamps are specified across many industrial sectors. In oil and gas projects, Heavy Series clamps provide permanent support on platform decks, pipe racks, and refinery structures. Hydraulic systems use Heavy Series clamps on HPU panels, manifolds, and pressurized tubing. Marine and offshore projects commonly use SS 316, duplex, or group configurations on bulkheads, decks, and topsides. Pharmaceutical applications may use SS 316L with hygienic liners on processing skids. Power-generation installations can require high-temperature materials for steam headers, turbine systems, and condensate lines. Chemical-processing plants use corrosion-resistant alloys for reactor piping and aggressive media. Food and beverage facilities may specify stainless steel assemblies with EPDM liners for washdown environments.

How to Select the Right Clamp

The first requirement is accurate tube outside diameter matching. The selected series should then be rated for the maximum operating pressure and temperature. Structural substrate material should be considered when selecting the weld plate to help avoid compatibility and corrosion problems. The number of tubes determines whether a single, twin, or group configuration is most suitable. Vibration-prone systems may require suitable elastomeric liners, while coastal, seawater, and subsea environments may require SS 316L, Duplex, or Super Duplex materials. Chemical exposure, classification requirements, and applicable standards should also be reviewed before ordering.

Welding and Quality Requirements

The weld is a critical part of the complete support assembly. Fillet size, filler material, preheat and interpass temperature should follow an approved Welding Procedure Specification. Welding should follow an approved WPS and PQR. Material combinations such as carbon steel, stainless steel and Duplex require suitable welding procedures and compatible filler metals.

Quality control can include chemical composition verification, dimensional inspection, hardness testing, surface inspection, hydrostatic pressure testing where requested, visual inspection, and batch traceability. EN 10204 material certificates, PMI reports, inspection documents, and classification-society documentation can be provided according to project requirements.

Why Choose Sachiya Steel International?

Sachiya Steel International supplies standard and custom weld plate clamps from its facility in Vasai, Mumbai. It provides dimensional inspection, stainless-grade PMI, surface checks, and material traceability. Standard sizes may be stocked; custom configurations generally require 7–21 days.

Exports cover the Middle East, Europe, Asia Pacific, the Americas, and Africa. Products serve EPC, OEM, shipbuilding, maintenance, and structural applications. Quotations are based on OD, material, series, configuration, liner, finish, and quantity.

Conclusion

Weld plate clamps provide a permanent and structurally integrated method for supporting tubes and pipes on steelwork, vessels, bulkheads, and industrial frames. DIN 3015 Light and Heavy Series: multiple configurations and alloy options support varied service conditions. Proper material matching, structural design, welding procedures, and quality documentation are essential for dependable long-term performance.
